2025 Harvest has begun! (slowly)
WE HAVE BEGUN TO HARVEST A NEW BATCH OF FRESH ORGANIC TURMERIC; HOWEVER, DUE TO DEMAND, IT’S A BIT EARLIER IN THE YEAR THAN WE WOULD HAVE PREFERRED TO START HARVESTING.
BECAUSE THE PLANTS ARE STILL YOUNG, THE QUALITY IS HIGH AND THE TURMERIC ROOT IS BEAUTIFUL AND JUICY, BUT WHAT WE’RE HARVESTING RIGHT NOW DOESN’T HAVE THE SHELF LIFE THAT MORE MATURE PLANTS WOULD OFFER.
SO, VERY LIMITED QUANTITIES ARE AVAILABLE, AND BEST USED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER YOU RECEIVE THEM. AS WE GET DEEPER INTO THE NORMAL HARVEST SEASON, LARGER QUANTITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE, AND THE PRODUCT’S SHELF LIFE WILL INCREASE TO THE DURATION YOU’VE COME TO EXPECT FROM PREVIOUS HARVESTS.
2024 Turmeric Harvest is on!
We are now harvesting the 2024 crop of fresh, certified organic, lead-free (tested) whole turmeric root, with orders shipping now. In fact, this year we have such a bountiful harvest of great looking turmeric, that we’re offering a special sale price on most quantities. So, get it before it’s gone!
2024 Harvest Pre-Orders now available!
We are now accepting pre orders for the 2024 Organic Turmeric harvest! Please note that your credit card will be charged immediately but you will not receive the product until we begin harvesting. This may not be until January 1st, but could be earlier as the turmeric got an earlier start this year and seems to be timing out already. Thank you, Brian

Our Turmeric is certified as organic by Americert International, and all parts of the growing, sorting, and packing process are completed right here at our GAP Certified facility. The growing season for Turmeric here is best from April through November, and is available for sale from December through May. Growing Turmeric requires a lot of hand labor throughout most of the season. In April, each root is planted by hand in individual holes, covered with dirt, and watered in carefully. Until November we must continue to water the plants with drip irrigation and weed around them by hand. We also apply by hand, various organic nutritional amendments to the foliage and the soil throughout the entire growing season. When it is time to harvest, a machine can lift the plants from the ground but each individual plant must still be picked up, carried from the field, washed, and sorted all by hand. After being dried on racks, the turmeric is graded and packed in boxes by hand.
We can ship to anywhere in the USA, providing discounts on bulk orders. We offer quantities of 5, 10, and 30 pounds through our website, with special pricing for larger orders and smaller quantities available for local purchase from Petersen’s Groves and Nursery.
